Our application process
You're probably wondering what to expect when you apply for a job with us. Take a closer look at this sample application process for a role that requires in-depth technical knowledge:
#1: Introduction
If we think your application is a good fit for the role we're offering, we'll contact you and invite you to an initial get to know session with your hiring manager.
In this meeting we want to learn more about you and your past experiences, helping us understand how your background aligns with the offered role and our team. This is also the perfect time for you to ask any questions you might have about the position and the company.
#2: Technical interview
After the initial introduction, with your hiring manager we will schedule a second meeting with one of our technical owners and/or senior developers.
You will meet them in a face-to-face (or remote) interview to dive deeper into your technical skills. It gives you the opportunity to ask your technical questions and helps us better understand your expertise and how you approach complex technical challenges.
#3: Coding challenge
Next, you’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate your abilities through a coding challenge. This practical exercise allows you to showcase your problem-solving skills and technical knowledge.
In a follow-up conversation with our senior developers and/or technical leads, you’ll have the chance to explain your decisions and approach. Together, you’ll evaluate your results, providing insight into your problem-solving process.
#4: Onboarding
If you successfully complete the application process and we offer you a position, the onboarding process begins.
To support your transition, we’ll pair you with a buddy who will guide you through your first weeks, helping you get acclimated to our team and culture.
Lufthansa Technik's people department will take over from here and contact you in case of required documents and provide the contract.
