Repetitive defect detection - faster and simpler than ever
Today, engineering teams and the Maintenance Control center face challenges, such as the time-consuming analysis of write-ups and technical logbook entries, which often requires manual correction due to spelling mistakes and incorrect ATA chapter assignments.
Our product Technical Repetitives Examination analyzes defects from all write-ups and detects cluster according to customizable criteria. Its algorithm, trained by Lufthansa Technik’s engineering expertise, immediately recognizes identical components and automatically assigns the associated logbook entries to the correct ATA chapter. The resulting graphical overview ensures that all the various defects of a specific component for the selected period and the entire fleet are fully recorded and evaluated.

1. Data processing
Process write-ups and translate to English
Extract relevant information per write-up
Exclusion of non defect write-ups, e.g. service or training task
2. Algorithm and AI
Algorithm trained by Lufthansa Technik Engineering
Algorithm cross checks assigned ATA 02 or ATA 04
ATA correction and allocation of generic write-ups to the issue-related ATA
3. Engineering harmonization
Specific cluster of defects and components per aircraft model based on engineering expertise
Harmonization of synonyms of components and defect types
4. Visualization and customization
Visualization of defects in clusters for each tailsign
Customizable clusters, rules and alerts, based on cycles or days
Share your findings with peers
Your benefits:
Perform repetitive alerting and monitoring automatically
Gain analytical access to write-ups as never before
Improve your reliability KPIs by revealing defects patterns
Automatically harmonize misspellings and multilingual write-ups
